The Geography of Coventry
Coventry as a place isn’t mentioned until the middle of the 11th century. Until then the area in what is now Coventry was at the eastern end of the Forest of Arden and would have been occupied by a collection of individual settlements.

Once the cathedral has been visited and unless you were visiting friends there’s not a lot to persuade a visitor to stay in Coventry. However, nearby to the city there is a wealth of tourist’s attractions all within about 30 kilometres.
